IRC BLOG, UNIVERSITY OF KASHMIR, HAZRATBAL SRINAGAR
IRC (International Resource Cell) has been established in Allama Iqbal Library, University of Kashmir in the year 2005.The cell has been established with an aim to share experiences and expertise of the resourceful persons on various issues concerning society across the globe.
SUBJECTS UNDER PURVIEW
Various crucial issues are harped on by the experts on the subject/s who are invited to deliberate on these issues under the aegis of this cell. Various subjects under its purview include International Rlations, International Law , Conflict Management, Prevention Economics, Social Work , Peace building , Womwn and related issues. Some of the burning issues like Environment, Wildlife preservation, Societal Status role and of Women, AIDS etc have remained the prime concerns of this Cell while performing its activities over some past months.
ACTIVITIES:
The activities of this cell include organizing talks, seminars, discussions film screening, book reviews exhibitions wherein various experts are invited to share their expertise and experiences on the issues relevant and related to the purview of this cell. To augment the research and study on the related topics cell has arranged reading material in various available forms for all associated with this cell.

The material on the relevant subjects are there for the concerning scholars , students and civil society in various forms like books, Journals , CDS , DVDs, films , Cassettes, Documentaries, besides various e-resources. which include data bases and portals. The mention of materials are as under:
BOOKS: The books published 1999 onwards mostly recent books included in
the collection.
JOURNALS: More than twenty five journals are on subscription for IRC.
E- RESOURCES : A good number of CDS /DVDs , films , documentaries are included in IRC collection besides :
